The Government Campus was launched in 2020 by the Government Skills and Curriculum unit. It plays a vital role in improving capability across the Civil Service, helping all civil servants build the skills, knowledge and networks they need to serve the government now and in the future.
A Modern Civil Service is our vision of a skilled, innovative and ambitious Civil Service equipped for the future. Over the last two years we’ve made good progress on this, but there’s still more to do. So we’ve set out our next steps with a refreshed reform approach, using lessons from what we’ve learnt so far to help us achieve greater change.
One Big Thing is a new annual initiative for civil servants to take shared action each year around a reform priority. The focus for 2023 is data upskilling, with all civil servants undertaking a day’s worth of data training this Autumn.
